The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis has made a decision to cancel the $11 million debt owed to the Federation by LIAT, the Caribbean Airline. Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris, said that the debt relief was made following a request by the liquidator. According to its Facebook Page, LIAT is currently under administration and is being restructured following a decision by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda to reorganize the airline. The Big Apple’s coronavirus infection rate continues to surge and has now risen to levels not seen since May, according to city data released Wednesday. The latest data shows that the COVID-19 infection rate on a seven-day average has hit 4.8 percent, while the daily citywide positivity rate is at 4.76 percent. WASHINGTON, United States (AFP) — US health officials on Wednesday recommended a shortened quarantine period for people exposed to COVID-19, from 14 to 10 days if they haven’t taken a test and have not developed symptoms. The Roads, Buildings and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) has completed construction and renovation of several health facilities in Sandy Bay, North Windward.The project saw the construction of a new Nurses Quarters with the capacity to house two nurses. While the clinic was renovated with the replacement of the roof, windows, doors and tiles.Plumbing and electrical work was also done on the clinic, and a new waiting area added. The Clinic is currently being housed at the old Police Dormitory which was also remodelled and retrofitted by BRAGSA.The project was carried out at a cost of $500, 000.

On 28.11.2020, Police arrested and charged Sheba Lenisha Charles, 25 years old babysitter of Vermont/Union Island for with malice aforethought, caused the death of Ulric Hutchinson, 83 years old retired carpenter of Ashton Union, Island. The incident occurred on 26.11.2020 A postmortem examination was conducted on the body of the deceased and the cause of death was reported to be strangulation.The Accused appeared before the Serious Offences Court for arraignment and was remanded into custody.
