The Government of St. Kitts and Nevis has made a decision to cancel the $11 million debt owed to the Federation by LIAT, the Caribbean Airline. Prime Minister Dr. Timothy Harris, said that the debt relief was made following a request by the liquidator. According to its Facebook Page, LIAT is currently under administration and is being restructured following a decision by the Government of Antigua and Barbuda to reorganize the airline. The Roads, Buildings and General Services Authority (BRAGSA) has completed construction and renovation of several health facilities in Sandy Bay, North Windward.The project saw the construction of a new Nurses Quarters with the capacity to house two nurses. While the clinic was renovated with the replacement of the roof, windows, doors and tiles.Plumbing and electrical work was also done on the clinic, and a new waiting area added. The Clinic is currently being housed at the old Police Dormitory which was also remodelled and retrofitted by BRAGSA.The project was carried out at a cost of $500, 000.
