Percolation tests were carried out to determine the water absorption rate of the soil. The results of the test will be used to design the septic system. The Government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and by extension the Ministry of Agriculture in collaboration with local Cannabis company Medicinal have carried out the first marijuana extraction exercise in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The extraction process took place at the Fisheries lab in Kingstown and was preceded by a brief ceremony. The ceremony was followed by a step by step explanation of the extraction process by Chief Development Officer of Medicinal, Julian Truchot. The substance extracted is called Cannabidiol and is used to treat an array of ailments including pneumonia and certain types of cancer. Bridgetown, Barbados- Caribbean youth advocates have called for action on areas of priority for their peers with the launch of the Caribbean Roadmap for Adolescent and Youth Health: Championing Our Wealth: Promoting the Health and Well-Being of Adolescents and Youth in the Caribbean. Police have arrested and charged Uroy Lewis, 29 years old farmer of Diamonds with assault 18.10.2020. According to investigations carried out, the Accused man allegedly assaulted a 25 years old self-employed woman also of Diamond by pointing a gun at her with the intent to commit bodily harm. The incident occurred about 4:00pm on 15.10.2020 The Accused man is expected to appear before the Serious Offences Court to answer to the charge.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Austin Elson Gloster, 35 years old, labourer of Barrouallie that occurred about 9:15am on 17.10.2020. According to investigations, members of the Major Crime Unit (MCU) were alerted about a shooting incident in Pauls Avenue. On arrival at the scene, Gloster’s lifeless body was met with what appeared to be gunshot wounds. The District Medical Officer (DMO) pronounced him dead and the Coroner gave permission to remove the body. A postmortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death. Gloster’s death marks the 24th homicide for the year 2020.
