St. Vincent and the Grenadines today confirmed two (2) new COVID-19 cases. Both cases arrived on American Airlines (AA) 945 flight on Saturday July 25, 2020 and have been isolated since the receipt of their preliminary positive results. Both are doing well and have no symptoms typical of coronavirus. All of the other ninety-three (93) AA 945 passengers who arrived from Miami on Saturday July 25, 2020, have been released from mandatory hotel quarantine, having tested negative for the SARS-CoV-2 virus on day five (5) of quarantine. Prime Minister Gaston Browne is denying discrimination in the enforcement of coronavirus prevention measures. He made the remarks today while presenting a resolution to the House of Assembly for the extension of the State of Emergency for another three months to October 31st, 2020. BRAGSA has commenced work on the Manawar road project in Bridgetown, Biabou. This will see the construction of a 1000 – feet concrete road and slipper drains. In addition to the road and drains, a 100-feet retaining wall will be erected. It is being done at an estimated cost of $280,000. Meanwhile, road work continues in other areas across the country including Sion Hill Bay, Owia, Riverdale – Pembroke, Old Flour Mill Road, Buddy Gutter, Quarry Road – Layou, Revierre, Diamond and on the road leading from Calliaqua to Glen.
