Stlucianewsonline- A man who was being sought for the alleged rape of a 105-year-old woman has been killed by the police, law enforcement officials have confirmed. The suspect, Miguel Edward, alias Mad Max, was fatally shot by the police at the Rodney Bay Marina around noon today. It is alleged that Edward was attempting to flee to Martinique and pulled a weapon on the officers. Reports are that Edward allegedly attacked the centenarian at her home around 4 a.m. today.

Saint Lucia’s Earlyca Frederick has captured the crown at the Miss Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) pageant which was held in Dominica on Friday night. The pageant was last held in 1999 and has been dormant ever since. Six beauties from OECS countries participated in the event which was held at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium Forecourt in Roseau.
