St. Vincent and the Grenadines now has twelve (12) recovered COVID-19 cases,following the receipt of results from the Caribbean Public Health Agency –CARPHA, today, (Tuesday May 12th, 2020). The results are from 23 samples sent on Monday May 11, 2020. No new positive COVID-19 cases were reported. This means that there are now five(5) active cases of COVID -19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. All PCR COVID-19 tests done on the Carnival Cruise Line Crew members were negative. One Hundred and Thirty farm workers from St Vincent and the Grenadines left the state for Toronto Canada this morning where they would take up jobs on various farms. Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Labour the Hon. Saboto Caesar, was on hand to bid farewell to the men who left onboard a chartered Sun Wing flight. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fatal accident that occurred on Monday May 11th, 2020 along the Biabou public road which resulted in the death of Fidel Davis, 34 years, Chauffeur of Cedars. According to investigations, Davis was travelling towards Georgetown on motorcycle PW177, a black and white Ninja bike, when he lost control of the said motorcycle and he collided with an electrical pole in the vicinity of the Biabou Bridge.
