Black Sands Swim Squad (BSSS) raced against the clock out of the pool on Sunday 23rd February, bent on ensuring completion of its inaugural community project – cleaning and painting the Salvation Army Children’s Home in Pembroke. According to information received, it was swim mom Shivern Peters who brought the project to the attention of Black Sands Coach Kyle Dougan back in January 2020. Police Officers stationed at the Calliaqua Police Station have made successful breakthroughs in a number of reported burglaries in the district. On Wednesday (Feb. 26), Police arrested and charged Winston Shallow, 30 year old labourer of Fair Hall, Philmore Ralph, 37 year old labourer of Fair Hall and Samuel Woods, 32 year old Labourer of Belair. They were charged for entering the dwelling house of Chadrick Carrington at Fair Hall as trespassers. According to a police report they stole three of items belonging to Chadrick Carrington.
