The old Mustique Airways Hanger, located at the decommissioned ET Joshua Airport was full of excitement as St. Vincent and the Grenadines saw the execution of two Gymnastics competitions; Interschool Gymnastics – Friday 21st and Dolphin Gymnastics Coconut Classic – Saturday 22nd February, 2020.
This year saw the addition of the first ever Interschool Gymnastics Competition amongst one hundred and seventy five (175) enthusiastic students from Five (5) from Primary Schools with results as follows:
· First Place – Windsor Primary School
· Second Place – Sugar Mill Primary School
· Third Place – Mustique Primary School
· Fourth Place – Kingstown Preparatory School
· Fifth Place – St. Mary’s Primary School
The highlight of the weekend was the Dolphin Gymnastics Coconut Classic which saw a total of sixty seven (67) Gymnasts and six (6) Coaches competing from six (6) teams across Antigua & Bermuda, Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago and St. Vincent and the Grenadines. St. Vincent and the Grenadines was represented by two teams, Dolphin Gymnastics and Mustique.
Gymnasts competed on Vaulting Table, Uneven Parallel Bars, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise. The competition was open to Level 1 through Level 9.
