The New York-based Dynamites Calyspo Tent will hold its preliminaries on Friday June 7th. The Graduates Calypso Tent will be staging its preliminaries on June 11th. The UpStage Calypso Tent will hold its preliminaries on June 12th. The On-Tour Calypso Tent will be staging its preliminaries on June 13th. The 15-member Caribbean Community (CARICOM) grouping has denounced moves by the United States to strengthen the decades old trade and economic embargo against Cuba. Minister of Agriculture, Saboto Caesar has announced plans to establish a National Agricultural Certification Unit within the Bureau of Standards Department. The Minister made the announcement in response to a question in Parliament last week. He said this Unit will address issues of certification, standards and how protocols are put in place to satisfy International Standards. Minister Caesar says the New Unit will cover the entire agriculture sector and gave a few examples of how persons will benefit practically.
