Good morning, St. Vincent and the Grenadines! We’re starting the new week under partly cloudy skies with a pleasant breeze and just a touch of haze hanging around the islands. Overall, it’s shaping up to be another typical June day with warm temperatures, plenty of sunshine and the possibility of a few passing showers.

    The latest observations from the Meteorological Office at Argyle International Airport show conditions at 6:00 a.m. as partly cloudy, breezy and slightly hazy, with temperatures sitting at 27.1°C. Northeasterly winds are blowing at approximately 24 km/h, helping to keep conditions comfortable during the early morning hours.

    Forecasters say the Atlantic High Pressure System remains the dominant weather feature across the region. As a result, residents can expect generally fair to partly cloudy conditions, breezy periods and only a few isolated showers throughout the day. Moderate haze is also expected at times.

    Humidity currently stands at 80%, while barometric pressure is measured at 1016.2 mb. No rainfall was recorded during the past 24 hours. Yesterday’s maximum temperature reached 30.2°C, while overnight temperatures dipped to 24.8°C.

    There are no weather warnings or advisories in effect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines at this time.

    Marine conditions remain slight to moderate in open waters, with swells ranging between 1.2 metres and 2.0 metres. Small-craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution due to above-normal swells and occasional gusty winds.

    Across the region this morning, fair weather dominates much of the Caribbean. Barbados and Antigua are enjoying fair conditions, Trinidad is partly cloudy, San Juan is reporting clear skies, and Miami is also experiencing fair weather. Meanwhile, New York remains cloudy, Toronto is fair, and London is partly cloudy.

    Today’s first high tide occurred at 12:30 p.m., with another high tide expected at 10:53 p.m.. Low tide is forecast for 7:13 p.m.. Sunrise was at 5:37 a.m., while sunset is expected at 6:30 p.m..
