Good morning, St. Vincent and the Grenadines! It’s another warm Caribbean morning, but you’ll notice a combination of cloud cover, brisk northeast winds, and a layer of Saharan dust lingering across our islands. If you’re heading outdoors early, especially if you suffer from asthma or allergies, it’s a good idea to keep that in mind.
As of 6:00 a.m., temperatures are sitting at a comfortable 27.2°C with cloudy, breezy and hazy conditions. Relative humidity is at 82%, making it feel a little more humid than the thermometer suggests, while northeast winds are blowing at around 22 km/h (14 mph), helping to keep conditions from becoming too uncomfortable.
The Atlantic High Pressure System remains the dominant weather feature today, bringing generally fair to partly cloudy skies. However, don’t rule out a few isolated showers, particularly during the morning, while moderate to thick Saharan dust haze continues to reduce visibility across the region.
⚠️ Weather Advisory: Residents should exercise caution due to reduced visibility and poor air quality associated with the Saharan dust. Those with respiratory conditions are encouraged to limit prolonged outdoor activity where possible.
🌊 Marine conditions remain slight to moderate, with swells ranging between 1.2 and 1.8 metres. While no marine advisories or warnings are currently in effect, small craft operators should continue exercising normal caution in open waters.
🌅 Today’s sunrise was at 5:45 a.m., and sunset will be at 6:35 p.m.. High tides are expected at 6:33 a.m. and 5:11 p.m.
Have a wonderful Tuesday! Stay hydrated, take it easy if you’re spending long periods outdoors, and if you’re driving, remember that the Saharan dust may reduce visibility at times. We’ll keep you updated with any significant changes throughout the day.
