Good morning St. Vincent and the Grenadines!

It’s a cloudy, breezy and hazy start across SVG this morning as a tropical wave continues to influence weather conditions across the islands.

At 6:00 a.m., temperatures were sitting at 27°C with fresh northeast winds blowing at approximately 28 km/h. Humidity remains elevated at 87%, helping to maintain that warm tropical feel despite the extensive cloud cover.

Today’s forecast calls for generally cloudy, hazy and breezy conditions with scattered light to moderate showers, occasional pockets of light rain and the possibility of isolated thunderstorms throughout the day.

Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides, as well as those living near rivers and streams, should remain alert and exercise caution, particularly during periods of heavier rainfall.

Winds will range from east-northeast to easterly at 20 to 35 km/h, with stronger gusts possible near showers.

Marine conditions remain slight to moderate in open waters, with swells ranging from 1.2 metres to 2.0 metres. Small-craft operators and sea-bathers are advised to exercise caution due to above-normal swells and occasional gusty winds.
