The Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines is working apace to have a hotel constructed in close proximity to the Argyle International Airport.
Word on this came from Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves Tuesday afternoon at a briefing at Cabinet Room.
Dr. Gonsalves said the facility is to be an airport hotel at Diamond in the area near the approach to the corner to Kings Hill and it will consist of about 90 rooms. He said that the idea is to have a Holiday Inn express type facility and to add a feature that will attract Vincentians who want to spend a weekend or holiday with their families.
Prime Minister Gonsalves said the facility, along with the other facilities being constructed is within the framework of his government’s quest to build a modern, competitive society that is at once national, regional and international.
The hotel compound is expected to occupy 6-7 acres of land.
