The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force in its quest to combat sexual offenses in SVG, has put together a team of detectives dedicated to investigating sexual crimes such as rape and unlawful sexual intercourse with minors.
The goal of the Sexual Offences Unit (SOU) is to provide the best police and social services available to victims of sexual crimes. The Unit seeks to accomplish this task by conducting thorough and detailed investigations of all sexual offenses reported to the Unit.
Further, in keeping up-to-date with modern trends, the Police Force has updated its national identification card that is used by its members.

Accordingly, a media conference to launch the RSVP Sexual Offences Unit and the new police identification card would be held. The ceremony will be held at the Police Conference Room 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday 7th November 2018.
