Issues relating to Mental Health and Wellness will be addressed
at a Forum organised by the SVG Diaspora Committee in New
York this Saturday, April 6 th .
The Forum will look at the Nature of Psychiatric Illness; Tools
to Address Mental Health Problems and the Impact of Mental
Illness on Families and the Community.
It will also examine Strategies for Reducing the Stigma of
Mental Illness and a Road Map for Recovery and Wellness.
The Forum will be held at the Friends of Crown Heights in
Brooklyn, New York on Saturday, beginning at 3pm.
There will be presentations from Cruz Fuksman – of the New
York Psychotherapy and Counselling Centre; Danielle
Fairbairn-Bland – Clinical Social Worker Therapist in
Brooklyn; Mental Health Counsellor – Nicole Slater and
Psychiatrist – Dr. Vanessa Bobb.
