A Dyslexia Awareness Walk will be held next week Wednesday May 1st.
The walk will be held at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex at 5:30 am.
As well Primary and Secondary School Teachers from across the country will participate in a Dyslexia Symposium, which is set to take place here next month.
The Symposium will be hosted by the Rotary Club of St Vincent on May 13th and 14th at Frenches House, and will focus on Working with the Dyslexic Learner.
The sessions will be facilitated by Sandra Cadogan, an Assessment Officer from the Caribbean Dyslexia Centre in Barbados.
The main objective of the workshop is to build the Teachers’ awareness of Dyslexia and to give them a clear understanding of how to identify the Dyslexic learner in the classroom.
