SAINT VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES, June 7, 2019 – His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic of Ghana, is scheduled to visit St. Vincent and the Grenadines for a two-day official visit from June 12 – 13, 2019 as part of his Caribbean region tour.

During the official visit, President Akufo-Addo will deliver a public lecture on Wednesday June 12, 2019 at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College to an audience comprising of students, business executives, representatives of the Civil Society, the general public and the Ghanaian Association in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The public lecture will commence at 11:15 a.m.

An invitation is extended to the general public and the media to this event. The general public is kindly asked to be seated by 10:50 a.m.

The Republic of Ghana and St. Vincent and the Grenadines established diplomatic relations on August 1, 2008. President Akufo-Addo’s visit to this country will seek to further deepen existing diplomatic relations. This is of particular significance as the Government of the Republic of Ghana celebrates the “Year of the Return”, four hundred (400) years after the start of the slave trade.
