Coreas Hazells Inc recently awarded prizes for its Facebook Video Competition, which saw over eighty entries being submitted. The competition was won by Sauhil “Freddy” James, whose video copped the top spot for its highly relatable portrayal of a young boy’s plight after being sent to the corner shop by his mother. Mr. James won himself $5000 for his efforts and the second prize of $1000 was won by Facebook User Chowda Clozzphet for his video “Black Men Don’t Cheat”
Ten consolation prizes of $200 each were also awarded to Kemara Brackin, Cavil King Jr, Jacintha Edwards, Stephon Rodriguez, Ranmon Cuffy, Fabian Guerra, Max Horne, Jayz Lewis, Simeon Cumberbatch and Javed DeSouza for their entries into the competition.
“We were very pleased by the response and engagement that the competition received, we really wanted to be able to provide a platform for persons to showcase their talents in storytelling and video production. This year we saw many humorous videos being submitted and we hope that we will be able to build on that and see even more persons stepping up to the challenge next year” said Managing Director Joel Providence.
This week the company also launched their new campaign Shop! Fly! Win! where six lucky customers at Coreas Hazells stores, which include Coreas Pharmacy, ACE Hardware, Heavy Hardware, Lumber Yard, Cement, Diamond Woods and Coreas Auto will have a chance to win return airline tickets to the USA.
