The RSVG Police Youth club are the 2019 French Verandah National Lotteries SVG Community College Invitational Football champions.
This after, for the third consecutive
year, the Finals had to be decided on penalty kicks, which the youthful lawmen won three goals to one.
The game was locked one goal apiece after regulation time. Daniel Patrick who scored the most goals in the tournament, six, and was also adjudged the Best Striker and MVP
of the Tournament, had netted in the 16th minute to put the RSVG Police Youth club ahead.
Garrett Leigertwood however restored parity from the penalty spot in the 47th minute for Year Two Arts, Sciences and General Studies.
The third place playoff was also decided by penalty kicks, in favour of Jebelles Youths, four goals to three over Year One Arts, Sciences and General Studies. Jebelles had
shot out to a two goal lead with strikes from Jammie Keil and Kadeem Duncan, before Micah Glasgow and Andre Lavia brought the Year one team back level.
The other awards given on Friday evening saw Ronaldo Matthews of Year Two Arts,
Sciences and General Studies winning the Best Defender Award, Best Mid Fielder went to Jammie Keil of Jebelles youth, Best Goal Keeper; Arnel Horne Year Two Arts,
Sciences and General Studies, MVP of the Place play off was Jammie Keil of Jebelles youth and the MVP Finals was taken by Aliska Samuel of RSVG Police Youth Club.
The attention now turns to the ECGC Island Sip Water SVG Community College Invitational Netball competition which begins on Tuesday 12th November.
