    Eight young men allegedly gang-rape schoolgirl, 15, after giving her drink

    Eight young men from the Windward side of the country are accused of raping a 15-year-old student last Friday.
    Information received indicate that the crime took place in an interior village. It is alleged that the girl was given a substance to drink, which is believed to be an intoxicating liquour.

    She was then held down by four men at her hands and feet while another four young men took turns raping her.
    Some of the accused young men are said to be students of a senior secondary school that the girl attends and the others are said to be out of school.


    At least three of the accused are said to range between age 17 and 19 years. According to information received, the young men have been identified and one is said to be a close family member of a law officer.

    It is understood that the victim was immediately taken to a hospital and a report was made to police and an investigation into the alleged crime has been launched.


    It is also understood that the students accused of the crime have been suspended from school.A source say that the eight accused young will most likely be charged with the crime.
