Miss SVG Pageant Cancelled

The Carnival Development Corporation wishes to notify the general public that as a result of the far reaching negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the citizens and business community of St. Vincent and the Grenadines over the past four months, a decision was taken to cancel the Miss SVG Pageant in 2020.

As a country, we are all anxiously looking forward to getting safely back to normal operations in every sector. While the original date set for the pageant, October 31st, seems to be in the distance, necessary preparations had been put on hold out of an abundance of caution, adherence to the guidelines put forward by the authorities and being sensitive to the financial and psychological challenges stemming from the many uncertainties surrounding the pandemic.

In light of the above, we now look forward to supporting the Beauty Shows Committee in preparing for a better 2021 production and a safe and enjoyable experience for all.
