    Trinidad-Ministry announces 35 more COVID cases, 22 of unknown origins

    The Ministry of Health has announced 35 more COVID-19 cases, bringing the total announced today to 78.

    Of the latest cases, 22 require epidemiological investigations to determine origin.

    The latest cases were announced in the Ministry’s 6 pm update following an announcement of 43 cases made in the 10 am update.

    Those 43 were from batch testing that spanned eight days.

    The Ministry said these 35 cases were from the period August 6th to today.

    The Ministry stated:

    “Thirty-five (35) additional persons have tested positive for COVID -19.

    Thirteen (13) are contacts of recently positive COVID-19 cases

    Twenty-two (22) are pending epidemiological investigation. 

    The tally for T&T now stands at 404.
