It only takes a SPARK to ignite positive change!

Kingstown, St. Vincent: SPARK SVG is a non-governmental organization in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Under the tagline “It only takes a spark to ignite positive change,” SPARK SVG aims to stimulate, motivate and inspire young Vincentians to create positive change within themselves, their communities, their nation, their region and their world. Using the Sustainable Development Goals as a guiding framework, the summit brings together the youngest andbrightest minds of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for one day of impacting presentations by knowledgeable and lively facilitators.
Since our inception in 2019, we have been able to carry out numerous initiatives including:

 A donation to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Home for Girls.

 #GBVfreeSVG – a campaign against Gender-Based Violence for the 16 days of activism in November

 A collaboration with the Commonwealth Youth Gender & Equality Network (CYGEN)
for the #Reform53 campaign calling for the reform of discriminatory laws.

 The launch of the Spark SVG Youth Network – an online platform for delegates at the summit to connect, share ideas, and collaborate.

Our work was recognized by One Young World as part of their “Ones to Watch” section of the 2019 impact report. Also, we have joined a coalition of youth organizations across Latin America and the Caribbean to lobby for the signing, ratification, and implementation of the Escazu Agreement which promotes environmental justice.
The time has come once again for us to host our annual you summit but COVID-19 has required us to make the 2020 summit virtual. Nevertheless, this provides a unique opportunity to develop and expand our initiative. Therefore, this year, the summit will occur for three days via zoom:

     Day 1: SPARK – Friday 14th August 2020
     Day 2: IGNITE – Saturday 15th August 2020

     Day 3: EXPLODE – Sunday 16th August 2020
