    BRAGSA repairs roads in Bequia

    BRAGSA has embarked on the reconstruction of two concrete roads on the Grenadine island of Bequia.

    Construction work is being done on the Mount Pleasant road at an estimated cost of
    290-thousand EC dollars.

    Phase one of the project will see the repair of 556 square yards of concrete road and the construction of a 570 feet retaining wall.

    Meanwhile, similar work is also being carried out in La Pompe, Bequia.

    Repair work is being done on 395 square yards of the main road.

    In addition to the road work, a 40 feet retaining wall is being constructed.

    It is being done at an estimated cost of 140-thousand EC dollars.

    Work on the two project is expected to be completed in September.

      I do not understand, this what government are supposed to do to all the roads on a revolving basis. Not replace small sections of roads prior to elections and then publicize it as if they are doing us some favour.

      They are not doing anyone a favour. Many local and overseas buyers bought land from the government to help fund Argyle airport. They deserve good roads that are regularly and continually maintained. Even ULP members got to cherry pick the best land sales.
