    The Bahamas COVID-19 cases spikes again, 107 new infections recorded

    The Bahamas Ministry of Health on Wednesday recorded 107 new cases of COVID-19.

    This brings the total number of confirmed cases to 1531. 

    The breakdown of new cases by island is as follows:

    • New Providence 59
    • Grand Bahamas 44
    • Exuma 1

    The location of three people who tested positive hasn’t yet been determined.

    The Ministry of Health also confirmed that two more people died because of COVID-19 complications.

    The two men aged 46 and 65 were both residents of New Providence.

    The number of virus-related deaths in The Bahamas now stands at 22.

    At present, there are 1296 active cases in the territory.

    The Health Ministry said citizens should do all in their power to slow the spread of the killer virus.
