The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) on Friday announced that classes for year two students at the Division of Arts, Sciences and General Studies and the Division of Technical and Vocational Education has been postponed.
Classes will no longer resume on Monday, Sept.7, the college said, but gave no definite indication of when classes will resume.
“The SVGCC reaffirms its commitment to providing a healthy and safe environment in which our students can excel despite the pressures of the current global pandemic,” the college said in a press release.
“The college will update our students and the general public as soon and as best as possible on the new resumption date for classes at these divisions. Any inconvenience caused is deeply regretted,” the release further stated.
The release said that classes at the Division of Nursing Education will resume on Monday as previously indicated.
Orientation at the Division of Teacher Education will also still take place on Tuesday and Wednesday, Sept. 8 and 9.
Schools in St. Vincent and the Grenadines were initially scheduled to reopen on Aug. 31, but the reopening was postponed by a week.
