    Trinidad-Another COVID-19 death recorded, national toll now 35

    Another death from COVID-19 has been recorded in Trinidad and Tobago—an elderly male with pre-existing health conditions—bringing the national toll to 35 persons.

    In addition, four new persons have tested COVID-19 positive, moving the national total of active cases to 1,485 patients.

    The Ministry of Health has confirmed these latest figures in its morning update for today, Monday 7 September 2020, in its most recent COVID-19 clinical update.

    Other highlights from the Ministry’s update for this morning include:about:blank

    –  The four (4) new positive cases reported show results from samples taken during the period August 28th to September 6th, 2020. Therefore, this figure is NOT representative of the positive cases over the last 24 hours only.

    –  Ten (10) persons have been discharged from health facilities.

    –  One thousand three hundred and thirty-eight (1,338) patients have been home isolated under the continuous monitoring of the respective County Medical Officer Health (CMOH) offices.

    – Thirty-eight (38) COVID-19 positive patients are in Step-down / Transition Facilities
