Met Office Update
At 11 am, ‘Teddy’ was near 16.5 N 49.7 W, about 775 miles east of the Lesser Antilles, moving northwestward and generating long period swells which travel far and fast.
East north-easterly swells ranging 1.5 m to 2.5 m (~5 to 8 ft) are expected to reach the coastal waters of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) by tonight and are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip currents as they slow down abruptly.
Small craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise extreme caution.
