Happiest of Birthdays to a remarkable woman who celebrates her 102nd birthday today – Ms. Evelyn Hackshaw.
She was born on September 25, 1918 in the northern village of the island, a proud native of South Rivers. An extraordinary woman who possesses a wealth of knowledge that far exceeds her age, continues to be the Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother and Guardian to not only her family members, but also to those in her village.
This centenarian, who is a devoted Christian spends most of her time in the word of the Lord. She remains alert of all that goes on around her and on numerous occasions can be found in dialogue with her family, friends and villagers offering them advice that is buttressed by her years of experience.
Ms. Hackshaw is blessed with four daughters Margarita Springer, Patsy Warrican, Laverne Hackshaw and Susan Hackshaw. Also, sixteen (16) grandchildren one of which who shares her birthday Earl Warrican, twenty nine (29) great grandchildren and five (5) great – great grandchildren.
When you get to 102 your birthday becomes a grand affair. Thus today, a most momentous occasion, ANN join with all family and friends of Ms. Evelyn Hackshaw, would like to wish her the best of birthdays today and pray and thank God for his blessings on her life and ask the Lord health and strength for her to see many more years to come.
