Weak instability with occasional showers and thunderstorm activity lingers across our northern-most islands tonight, spreading across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) during Tuesday. A tropical wave with a low pressure area is approaching the island chain, with a chance (30%) for slow development. Low-level moisture could increase across SVG Tuesday night, triggering a few showers during Wednesday.

A trailing trough could occasionally enhance showers with thunderstorm activity during Wednesday night into Thursday.

Gentle to moderate (‘~15 – 30 km/h’) east south-easterly breeze across our islands could turn east north-easterly late Tuesday as the tropical wave approaches. During Wednesday, light variable winds could become calm at times and a south-easterly flow is expected on Thursday as moderate breeze returns by evening

Smooth to slight sea-conditions with east north-easterly swells are across our islands, with swell heights near 0.5 m on western coasts (becoming temporarily northerly during Tuesday night) and near 1.2 m on eastern coasts. Slight rise is likely during Wednesday with swells on western coasts near 1.0m and on eastern coasts near 1.5m by Thursday
