KINGSTOWN, St Vincent and the Grenadines – January 14, 2021 – St. Vincent Brewery Limited (“SVB”) is delighted to announce that Mrs. Shafia London-Williams has been appointed as the company’s Country Manager. She takes up the post on January 1, 2021, becoming the first Vincentian to be named Country Manager in SVB’s 35-year history.

Mrs. London-Williams takes the post after serving in Barbados with Banks Holdings Limited (“BHL”), where she most recently held the position of Commercial Manager. Previously, she worked as a Regional Commercial Manager with responsibility for the sales and marketing functions at SVB and the Dominica Brewery and Beverage Limited, as well as other Caribbean territories.

Throughout her impressive career, Mrs. London -Williams has demonstrated significant expertise in commercial strategy and business management. She led the integration of BHL’s sales and marketing teams and executed strategies that improved the market share and overall sales. Critically, this achievement was against a backdrop of ongoing economic challenges and major changes to the company’s distribution model. Additionally, she has amassed a wealth of commercial experience in the beverage industry, having worked with brands such as PINEHILL, Presidente, Hairoun, Deputy Beer, Banks Beer, Kubuli, Guinness, Vitamalt, Budweiser and Corona.

While discussing her new position, Mrs. London-Williams said, “I’m honored to be leading the team at SVB. It is an amazing company with an excellent team and I strongly believe we can develop and implement creative strategies to build upon SVB’s reputation as a world-class beverage company.”

Mrs. London -Williams is in the final stage of completing an MBA and holds a Master of Science in Biochemical Engineering from University College London. She also has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (Hons) with minors in Human Resource Management and Communication from the University of the West Indies.

The thirty five year old is a 2003 St. Vincent and the Grenadines National Scholar and was the first female President of the Rotary Club of St. Vincent.
