The SJCM Elite Business Club was founded on February 7, 2011 by a business teacher at the school through the inspiration of POB student Zanif Sandy. Since it’s foundation, the Club has admitted close to 500 students. Trying to live up to its mission of developing the business mind while transforming the business world, the Club has engaged in varying activities throughout its existence.
A year-long calendar of activities will be held under the theme ‘Growing ideas & transforming the business world!’. Included in these activities are the annual leadership seminar, teambuilding exercises, social responsibility & skills training along with a few virtual events.
Due to the constraints of the current pandemic, the Club moved the anniversary day celebrations online with the creation of a commemorative video and a Facebook live address by the founder. The founder in his address encouraged Elites to not give up on their goals, pursue excellence in everything they do, develop their creative selves and be agents of transformation at home and abroad whilst contributing positively to the global workplace.
The impact of this Club has been far reaching with many of its former members being employed in the civil service and private sector in the Caribbean and North America. Several members have become entrepreneurs and made valuable contributions to the economic growth of St. Vincent & the Grenadines.
SJCM Elite Business Club expresses sincere gratitude to all those who have contributed to the advancement of the members interest and development from the inception.
Special thanks to the school’s principal Sr. Jacinta Wallace, the founder & current leadership team of teachers at SJCM and the past and present members who continue to work for the transformation of the business world. Cheers to 10 years of excellence as we look forward to a bright future.
