    Vincentian And Two (2) Grendian Nationals Charged With Drug Trafficking

    On the 16.03.2021 police arrested and jointly charged Gordon Paines, 39-years-old Farmer of Georgetown, along with two (2) Grenadian Nationals Michael Derrick, 25-years-old Fisherman and Rozand Blarda, 18-years-old with the offence of Drug Trafficking.


    According to investigations, the accused men allegedly had in their possession “17,252 grams of cannabis”. For the purpose of drug trafficking. The incident occurred at Union Island on 15.03.2021.


    Paines, Derrick and Blarda appeared before the Serious Offences Court on 17.03.2021 and plead not guilty to the charges. Paines was granted bail in the sum of EC$30,000.00 with one (1) surety and is to report at the Georgetown Police Station between 6 am. and 6 pm. every Monday and Friday.

    A stop notice was also issued for Paines at all ports and he is to surrender all travel documents.
    Bail was denied to both Grenadian Nationals and would be reviewed on 19.03.2021.
