The St Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation (SVGFF) has entered a deal with sportwear manufacturers- SCORE. The two -year deal, which runs until February 2023, will see all national football teams being outfitted with apparel from the company.

The partnership between the SVGFF and SCORE will see the US-based company, which has been in operation for over 45 years, supplying match kits for the senior men’s and women’s teams, along with the age group teams.

In addition to the match kits, the deal includes training kits, bibs, travel wear and hotel wear for all teams, replicas, as well as track suits, carry-on luggage and knapsacks.

Speaking at the official launch last Monday at the Methodist Church Hall in Kingstown, President of the SVGFF- Carl Dickson, disclosed that the sponsorship deal is worth US $75 000.

Dickson described the sponsorship deal as “the enrichment to the Vincy Heat brand to evoke greater national pride.”

The SVGFF head commented that the new apparel will work well on the psyche of the players, management and technical personnel, when they travel to tournaments overseas.

“We at the Executive level are of the conviction that when a person looks good, feels good about themselves, they are ninety percent inclined to achieve success and will give their very best effort,” Dickson articulated.

Dickson further reasoned: “We want to demonstrate in a tangible way, that the Executive arm of the SVGFF, is delivering on our promise to enrich the brand to celebrate as Vincy Heat… We want to celebrate our players and create a fresh new feeling at all levels of national representation.”

The first to sport the SCORE brand would have been the senior men’s team- Vincy Heat, as they participate in the CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers in Curacao.

The team which travelled to Curacao last Tuesday, was defeated 5 goals to Nil but he host last evening (Thursday 25th March) at the Hato Ergillo Stadium in Willamstead.

The Vincentians’ second match, their ‘Home’ match versus the British Virgin Islands next Tuesday, 30th March, will also be played at the Hato Ergillo Stadium.
