World Pediatric Project (WPP) remains committed to the children and families in St.Vincent and the Grenadines. With the knowledge that we are currently still in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic and understanding that many families may not be in a financial position to purchase or access the needed health and hygiene supplies, WPP saw it necessary to step in as they consider the health, general well-being and future of the nation’s children of paramount importance.
On Tuesday, July 6, 2021, WPP handed over supplies to the Ministry of Education (MOE) to assist students with the necessary protective items needed to be safe for their examination. The handing over took place at the office of the Ministry of Education at 11:00am. Executive Director of WPP Lauren McIntosh handed over the supplies to Permanent Secretary Myccle Burke and Chief Education Officer Elizabeth Walker.
Approximately 1900 students are expected to write the Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA) examination at the end of this month and WPP thought it was important to partner with the MOE and donate items including, 800 face shields, 1200 face masks and 120 (16oz) bottles hand sanitizer for use by the students during their examination. WPP continues to work remotely assisting families and making a meaningful difference. They a more children in need of critical pediatric care.
