St. Vincent and the Grenadines Netball
Association (Netball SVG) has forged a working relationship with London
Pulse. Netball SVG’s President Natasha Baptiste connected with CEO of London Pulse out of the United Kingdom, Sam Bird to build a relationship that will assist in increasing participation in the sport and raise the
competitive standards of the game. Online meetings were held which led to a positive working relationship thus far. London Pulse has shared with Netball SVG fitness testing standards that can be used for the assessment of athletes as well coaching information to assist with the preparation of teams and development of the pathways.
Sam Bird has visited St. Vincent and the Grenadines several times andhas recognised the playing and coaching talent here. Sam Bird stated “I have really enjoyed meeting with Natasha and other key members of
SVGNA Coaching Committee. There is a determination to develop the playing pathway to drive up the standards of the National Team.
It is an exciting time for netball in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and I am pleased to be able to collaborate with this aim.”
President Natasha Baptiste commented “It has been a great pleasure meeting with Sam and discussing how we will develop this collaboration to ensure that it is beneficial to the holistic development of netball in St.
Vincent and the Grenadines. The SVGNA’s Coaching Committee is pleased and welcoming of the assistance that would be provided through this collaboration as we continue to have discussion with Sam and her
team. As we celebrate our Diamond Jubilee, we further see this collaboration as a timely and welcomed one.”
