Kingstown St. Vincent April 16, 2026-BRAGSA – Roads, Buildings & General Services Authority has officially kicked off its 2026 Road Asset Management System (RAMS) Programme.
The initiative marks a strategic shift from reactive repairs to predictive maintenance, allowing for more efficient planning, improved road conditions, and better use of resources across the national road network.
Over the next 12 weeks, the team will be engaged in data collection and assessments across primary and secondary roads, including road condition and roughness assessments, traffic data collection, structural evaluations of bridges and culverts, as well as data validation and cost analysis.
The Authority stated that by strengthening how road assets are managed today, it is building a more resilient and sustainable road network for tomorrow.
