The Consulate General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines to the United States has launched a new initiative aimed at strengthening ties with Vincentians living abroad, beginning with a diaspora-focused questionnaire designed to guide national development efforts.
The survey forms the first phase of a broader project titled “Engaging the Vincentian Diaspora in National Development Through Trade and Investment.” Officials say the initiative is intended to better connect the skills, resources, and networks of the diaspora with opportunities at home.
According to the Consulate, the questionnaire will play a critical role in gathering insights from Vincentians overseas, helping policymakers and stakeholders understand their needs, priorities, and potential contributions. The data collected is expected to shape more targeted programmes, partnerships, and investment opportunities that benefit both the diaspora and the local economy.
“As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen diaspora engagement, we are inviting members of the Vincentian community abroad to complete a short questionnaire,” the Consulate noted. “Their input is invaluable in helping us design impactful initiatives that align with their interests and capabilities.”
The Consulate is also encouraging community leaders, organizations, and individuals to support the effort by promoting the survey widely, ensuring strong participation across diaspora networks.
Officials believe the initiative represents a significant step toward deepening collaboration between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and its global community, particularly in areas of trade, entrepreneurship, and economic development.
Members of the diaspora are urged to participate by completing the questionnaire using the link provided below.
