St. Vincent and the Grenadines — Island Koncepts Television, better known as IKTV, is moving into a new chapter as it transitions from a traditional cable television provider into a full-scale digital streaming platform.

Through its new website and mobile app, IKTV says viewers can now access Vincentian content anytime and anywhere, including original television shows, films, event coverage, live streams, and LIVE TV.

One of the major highlights of this digital transformation is the launch of “Tales From 784,” a new entertainment initiative focused on short films rooted in Vincentian culture, traditions, and folklore.

The project is being spearheaded by Javed DaSouza and the Alpha Studios team, with the aim of celebrating authentic Caribbean storytelling while creating paid opportunities for local filmmakers, actors, and other creatives.

According to IKTV, the initiative is not only about producing content, but also about building a platform where emerging Vincentian talent can be discovered and supported.

Two Original Films to Soft Launch Next Month

The “Tales From 784” initiative is expected to soft launch next month with two original productions.

“Cocoa Tea” is described as a powerful, family-friendly film centered on themes of grief. The production is exclusively sponsored by Vincentian Chocolate and stars Hannah Archibald, Tiwanda Roberts, and Cherry Llewellyn.

The second film, “TiT FOR TaT,” is described as a gripping production featuring Stanley Johnson, Keive Horne, and Dianna Cain.

Both films were written, directed, and edited by Javed DaSouza, with cinematography by Duane Lewis.

    Official Launch Planned for October

IKTV says the momentum will continue into October, in alignment with St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ Independence celebrations, when the official launch of “Tales From 784” will be held.

As part of that launch, IKTV plans to host a nationwide tour, taking local cinema directly into communities and schools across the country.

The company says the goal is to ensure that Vincentian stories are seen and experienced by the very people and communities they represent.

“This is more than just a digital upgrade or a film project,” IKTV shared. “It’s a movement. It’s about telling our stories, empowering our people, and redefining how Caribbean content is created, shared, and experienced.”
