Kingstown St. Vincent May ,09,2026-Police in St Vincent and the Grenadines say a gun, ammunition, foreign currency and a substance suspected to be cocaine were recovered from the home of a man who was shot dead in Golden Vale, Calliaqua.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the Royal St Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force said officers discovered the items while executing a search warrant at the residence of 37-year-old Keith “Devon” James following his killing on Friday night.
James was found lying motionless near the Anglican Church in Golden Vale after police responded to reports of a shooting at about 8:06 p.m.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police said investigators recovered five spent 9mm shells in the area where the shooting occurred.
During a subsequent search of the deceased man’s home, officers reportedly recovered a Glock pistol, 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition, a firearm magazine, a night vision device, a quantity of cash including foreign currency and what police described as a substance suspected to be cocaine.
Authorities said the items were being examined as part of the ongoing investigation and that their connection to the fatal shooting had not yet been established.
A post-mortem examination is expected to determine the exact cause of death. Police said investigators were pursuing several lines of inquiry as they work to establish a motive and identify those responsible for the killing.
The police force extended condolences to the family of the deceased and urged the public to avoid speculation while investigations continue.
