Kingstown, St. Vincent, May 09, 2026-The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association (SVGCA) has elected a new executive to serve for the next two years, with Roland Wilkinson emerging as the organization’s new president after securing 40 of 64 votes cast.

The elections were held during the association’s general meeting at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex.

Wilkinson thanked cricket clubs, affiliates, and supporters following the result, describing the victory as an opportunity to serve the development of cricket in St Vincent and the Grenadines.

“Out of 64 votes, I would have received 40 votes, which says a lot,” he said in a statement posted on his Facebook page.

“I just want to say thank you guys again for this opportunity to serve.”

Wilkinson also thanked his family and supporters and said the newly elected executive intended to begin work immediately.

“We have work to do in the cricket and we’re going to start work as soon as possible,” he said.

The newly elected executive will serve for the next two years.

St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association elected: Roland Wilkinson as president, Samantha Lynch as first vice-president, Desron Maloney as second vice-president, Rawdon Bentick as treasurer, Javid Wilson as secretary, Cleton Burnett as assistant secretary.

Committee members elected were Steadroy Deane, Elron Lewis, Keron Cottoy and Kadir Need.

Wilkinson also congratulated Samantha Lynch, saying he believed she was the first woman to be elected first vice-president of the association.

“I believe she would have been the first female to hold such position,” he said.

The new executive takes office at a time when cricket administrators across the Caribbean continue efforts to strengthen youth development, governance and domestic cricket structures within the region.
