Kingstown, St Vincent 13 May 2026-The government of St Vincent and the Grenadines has unveiled a new electronic trade platform designed to simplify cross-border business operations, marking a significant step in its digital transformation agenda.
The system, known as the Vincy Single Window for Trade (VSWIFT), will allow businesses and stakeholders to process licences, permits, certificates and other trade-related documents through a single integrated platform. Officials say the initiative is expected to improve coordination among government agencies, reduce processing times and make it easier to conduct business in the country.
The project is being implemented in collaboration with the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) as part of wider efforts to modernise public sector services and strengthen digital systems.
Government representatives confirmed that VSWIFT brings together an extensive network of stakeholders, including 19 government departments across eight ministries, three statutory bodies, customs brokers, shipping agencies and members of the wider trading community.
Project Manager Mrs Krislin Goulbourne-Harry described the initiative as “a transformative step in modernising trade facilitation in St Vincent and the Grenadines. By integrating multiple agencies and stakeholders into one electronic platform, we are building a more efficient, transparent, and accessible system for the business and trading community.”
Authorities said the launch represents a milestone in improving trade facilitation and operational efficiency across key sectors of the economy. They added that the platform forms part of broader plans to modernise public administration and enhance service delivery through greater use of digital technology.
