Good morning St. Vincent and the Grenadines! We’re heading into another warm and breezy day across the islands, with a weak tropical wave approaching the region and bringing the possibility of a few passing showers.

The latest observations from the Meteorological Office at Argyle International Airport show conditions this morning as partly cloudy and hazy, with temperatures sitting at 26.7°C. Winds from the northeast are blowing at around 17 km/h, helping to keep conditions relatively comfortable despite the humid atmosphere.

Forecasters say a weak tropical wave is slowly approaching the islands, and while no major weather systems are expected, residents can anticipate partly cloudy and breezy conditions at times, along with a few isolated showers and moderate haze throughout the day.

Humidity levels are currently high at 83%, while barometric pressure stands at 1016.7 mb. Yesterday’s maximum temperature climbed to a warm 31.2°C, while overnight temperatures cooled to 23.3°C.

Marine conditions are expected to remain moderate in open waters, with swells ranging from 1.5 metres to 2.5 metres. Small craft operators and sea bathers are being advised to exercise caution due to reduced visibility in moderate haze, occasional gusty winds, and above-normal swells.

Across the region this morning, Trinidad is enjoying fair conditions, while Barbados, Antigua and San Juan are all partly cloudy. Miami remains fair, New York is cloudy, Toronto is fair, and London is seeing clear skies.

Sunrise today was recorded at 5:39 am, while sunset is expected at 6:23 pm. High tide is forecast for 4:09 pm, while low tide occurred earlier this morning at 8:08 am.

That’s your friendly weather update for today. Keep hydrated, keep the umbrella nearby just in case, and if you’re heading out on the water, be sure to exercise caution and stay safe.
