The National Parks, Rivers and Beaches Authority (NPRBA) is inviting vendors and residents from several Leeward communities to participate in a community consultation on the Beach Vending Act 2025.

The consultation is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Troumaca Government School.

According to the NPRBA, the session will provide an opportunity for vendors and community members to receive information on the legislation, ask questions, provide feedback and seek clarification regarding the implementation of the Act.

The authority is encouraging vendors and residents from Troumaca, Cumberland, Richmond, Chateaubelair, Petit Bordel and surrounding communities to attend and take part in the discussion.

The Beach Vending Act 2025 is expected to impact vendors operating along beaches and coastal areas, and the consultation forms part of efforts to engage communities and gather public input on the legislation.

The NPRBA said the initiative is aimed at ensuring stakeholders understand the provisions of the Act and how it may affect beach vending activities within the region.
