Foreign Minister Hon. Dwight Fitzgerald Bramble has reaffirmed St. Vincent and the Grenadines’ commitment to strengthening ties with India following a courtesy meeting with the country’s High Commissioner to St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The meeting, held on June 1 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, brought together Minister Bramble and His Excellency Subhash Prasad Gupta, High Commissioner of India, for discussions focused on ongoing development cooperation and future opportunities for collaboration between the two countries.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the talks provided an opportunity to review progress under the Quick Impact Project Programme, an initiative through which India has supported a number of community development projects in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The officials also exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and explored potential areas for expanded cooperation aimed at supporting national development and strengthening bilateral relations.
The Ministry said the discussions reflected the longstanding friendship between St. Vincent and the Grenadines and India, a relationship that has continued to grow through collaboration in areas including infrastructure, education, community development and technical cooperation.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing sustainable development initiatives and maintaining strong diplomatic engagement in pursuit of shared goals.
The courtesy call comes as St. Vincent and the Grenadines continues to deepen partnerships with international allies to support economic growth, community development and resilience-building efforts.
In recent months, India has provided support for several projects in St. Vincent and the Grenadines through its Quick Impact Projects programme, including community and recreational infrastructure initiatives.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it remains committed to strengthening relations with India and fostering continued cooperation in areas that deliver tangible benefits to the people of both countries.
Officials noted that the meeting underscored the value of diplomatic engagement and international partnerships in advancing national development priorities while reinforcing the strong bonds of friendship between the two nations.
