ANTIGUA OBSERVER- Mere hours after a High Court Judge dismissed his suspension, top cop Wendel Robinson has been suspended again. The police service commission, in a letter to Robinson, advised that he’s now being suspended pending the outcome of internal disciplinary charges of discreditable conduct. Police are investigating two reports of Homicides which occurred on 26.10.18. (i) Dead is Rodesha Bailey, 30yrs old Domestic of Mesopotamia, whose body was discovered about 3:50am in Sayers, Mesopotamia with multiply stabbed wounds. (ii) Also dead is Gregory Morris, a 56yrs old Labourer of Byrea. According to investigations, Mr. Morris sustained multiple chop wounds about his body. The incident occurred on the road leading to Manning Village, Byrea. A suspect is in custody assisting the Police with their investigations. These two deaths bring the homicide count for 2018 to 28. Police arrested and charged Deron Quashie, 27 years old Self-employed of Choppins with the offense of Assault. Investigations revealed that on 15.08.2018 about 4:00 p.m. at Richmond Hill, Quashie allegedly assaulted a 10-year-old student of Vermont by holding onto his neck and throwing him against a concrete fence, causing Actual Bodily Harm. The accused man is expected to appear before the Magistrate’s Court to answer the charge.

According to investigations, Stapleton allegedly raped a 19-year-old secretary of Ottley Hall. The incident occurred on the 11.10.2018. Well known business man Antonio ‘Que Pasa’ Gellizeau is to be released soon from prison after serving a 10 year prison sentence on money laundering charges. Gellizeau along with Bermudan sailor Winston Robinson and Trinidad Kent Andrew were arrested when law men intercepted the yacht Jo-Tobin off Bequia in April 2008. The yacht was owned by Gellizeau. The Government of St Vincent and the Grenadines and potential partners it has been having discussions with have expressed optimism in the profitability of the US$50 million dollar hotel to be constructed at Mt Wynne.
