May 8, 2023, Kingstown – The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force (RSVGPF) is in mourning after losing one of its serving members. Dennis Prescott, Police Constable 932 from the Vermont village, died on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at his home after a brief illness. Constable Prescott was enlisted into the organization on December 9, 2015, and served the organization and the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) for seven (7) years. A former Vermont resident was shot and killed in Brooklyn, New York early this morning, following an argument with her boyfriend. According to PIX11 the woman, 49, who has been identified as Jacqueline Lewis, was allegedly shot three times about her body by the suspect, 48, in her home near East 96th Street and Clarkson Boulevard. Police were called to the scene after her daughter alerted them, she then hid in the home until help arrived. The suspect tried to hide after the shooting, but police were able to force their way into the home and take him into custody.…
