A small contingent of 4 Blue Marlins CARIFTA Aquatics hopefuls, participated in the BASA Long Course National Championships in Barbados from 27th February to 4th March 2024. The aim of participating in such a swim meet was to make qualifying times for events in a 50m pool for the upcoming CARIFTA Aquatics Championships to be held in the Bahamas over the Easter weekend. Vincentian athlete, Nickie Peters was inducted into the Coppin State University’s (CSU) Athletics Hall of Fame Class of 2024 for his outstanding performance on the track and in cross country meets. Peters has been described as a “four-year standout on the track and cross country.” He won back-to-back Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) Cross Country Individual Titles in 2001 and 2002 following up on his runner-up performance in 2000. On the 16th of February 2024, Justice Esco Henry delivered her judgment in relation to the Consolidated cases of Javin Johnson and Sean Mac Leish v Attorney General of SVG et al.
