St. Vincent & the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) will attempt to defend its 2020 Windward Islands Debating Competition (WIDC) title when the college competes in the 2022 edition of the competition. The WIDC returns on Thursday 28 th and Friday 29th, April 2022, after a one-year hiatus due to COVID-19. The Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment yesterday, Friday 22nd April, 2022 announced 3 new local COVID-19 cases resulting in a positivity rate of 13.33%. According to the release one recovery and zero death were reported over the period. There are currently fifty (50) active cases, with zero people being hospitalized. The public is urged to continue to use masks, sanitize, physically distance, and get vaccinated to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
