A total of 103 UNESCO Member states expressed confidence in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, through their vote, to serve on the World Heritage Committee (WHC) from 2021 to 2025. The annual Christmas Road Cleaning Programme is scheduled to commence on Monday December 6, 2021. The initiative spearheaded by BRAGSA, will see the employment of over six thousand persons island-wide. This will include 500 gangs and 1000 Jobbers, who will be responsible for the cutting of trees, and cleaning of roads in all 15 constituencies over the 7 days period. The general public is asked to note that in keeping with the spirit of Christmas, and in an effort to promote good morale among the inmates at Her Majesty’s Prisons in Kingstown and Belle Isle, the following initiatives will be implemented from the dates mentioned.
