On November 25, 2024, police arrested and charged Conley Ogarro, a 40-year-old Farmer of Campden Park, with the offence of Assault. According to investigations, the accused assaulted a 45-year-old resident of the same address by striking her on her left hand with a stone causing Actual Bodily Harm. On November 25, 2024, police arrested and charged Tishani Mars, a 24-year-old Labourer of Carriere, with the offence of Assault. Investigations revealed that the accused assaulted a minor of Cane End by striking her about her body with her hands. The offence was committed in Cane End on November 22, 2024. Mars was granted station bail in the sum of $1,500.00 ECC with one surety. He is expected to appear before the Mesopotamia Magistrate Court on December 5, 2024, to answer to the charge.
On November 25, 2024, police arrested and charged Evran Defreitas, a 34-year-old Farmer of South Rivers, with the offence of Grievous Bodily Harm. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accused unlawfully inflicted Grievous Bodily Harm on a 50-year-old Painter of the same address by striking him about his body with a stick. The offence was committed in South Rivers on August 11, 2024. Defreitas appeared before the Georgetown Magistrate Court on November 25, 2024, and pleaded not guilty to the charge.
